Walter Otero Contemporary Art gallery with three floors located in Puerta de Tierra aims to challenge the traditional model of the gallery. WOCA incorporates institutional and education elements, in addition to archive components within the gallery. The main exhibits are at the top of the floor, as well as other exhibitions on the ground floor and the rooftop to take in the beautiful gardens and outdoor exhibits looking out over San Juan Bay.
On the third level is a spectacular rooftop garden with views of San Juan Bay. San Juan Bay area mostly holds outdoor events and gatherings. Alongside an inventory of works by the artists who are represented, and there are mostly a collection of works that will also be offered to purchase.
WOCA is home to a large group of world-renowned artists that include: Allora y Calzadilla, Angel Otero, Andres Serrano, Arnaldo Roche Rabell, Axel Ruiz, Carlos Betancourt, Fabian Marcaccio, Gamaliel Rodriguez, Hector Arce Espasas, Ignacio Lang, Luis Vidal, Michael Linares, Monica Rodriguez, Osvaldo Budet, Rafael Vega, Ramon Miranda Beltran, Shonah Trescott and Victor Vazquez.
The gallery’s director, Walter Otero, has been involved in the world of art for more than two decades and has worked with museums both local and international throughout his career.
