Nestled by the sea in San Juan, Puerto Rico – Castillo San Felipe del Morro dominates the harbour, as it has for over 4 centuries. Its walls and eight towers stand tall, protecting all who enter from invaders. The fortress contains fascinating museums that help tell its story through artifacts and re-enactors. It is the ultimate destination to learn about Puerto Rico’s rich history and military heritage.

San Felipe del Morro is a 16th-century citadel that sits on the northwestern-most point of the islet of Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. Spanning 55 acres, El Morro is named in honour of King Philip II of Spain. Initially, the walled structure was five stories high but was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1692 and rebuilt. In 1983, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
